At CRISMA, we are passionate about providing transformative therapeutic services to individuals with disabilities. As part of Fundación Vamos México, CRISMA is a safe, inclusive space for both local residents and the expat community, offering specialized therapies to help individuals of all ages regain their independence, improve their quality of life, and overcome challenges.
Our new medical services ensure that every patient receives a personalized care plan. With expert medical evaluations, our doctor provides targeted referrals to therapies such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, early stimulation, and hydrotherapy, each designed to help individuals achieve their highest potential. CRISMA’s goal is to deliver accessible, high-quality care for people of all ages and backgrounds, from young children to seniors.
To further support the community, we offer fall-prevention workshops designed for older adults. These workshops teach practical skills to help seniors stay safe and maintain independence in their daily lives.
CRISMA’s impact extends beyond our center through valuable partnerships with other organizations. We will collaborate soon with Cambiando Miradas, a well-established association in León, dedicated to providing support for individuals with Down syndrome. This collaboration will allow us to expand specialized services and offer tailored care for this community.
Additionally, CRISMA works alongside Feed the Hungry through community visits to identify children in need of therapeutic services, addressing not only their health but also their nutritional needs. We also partner with the UNAM campus in León, which helps us integrate physiotherapy students into our programs, bringing fresh ideas and expertise to our patients.
We are also working with Cal Poly Humboldt University to provide valuable opportunities for students through internship programs and shadowing experiences. These partnerships allow students to gain hands-on experience in therapeutic fields while contributing to our mission and providing fresh perspectives to our work.
In addition to these services, fundraising events, like the popular “Mesa y Celebración” workshop, are vital to CRISMA’s ability to continue delivering these services. Every donation received directly supports therapy, outreach, and community programs, ensuring that CRISMA remains a robust resource for those who depend on it.
We encourage you to come, get to know us, and join us in our mission to help individuals regain their independence. Whether you are interested in receiving therapy, visiting, donating, or collaborating, your support is invaluable. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of children, adults, and seniors, empowering them to live with dignity and achieve their goals.
