I'm sure that you have heard that there may be a connection of the Mind, Body and Spirit…right? Is what you have heard simply “fluff” or is there real evidence that makes sense?
We are very familiar with the phrase… “What you think about comes about,” and “What you fear, you draw near,” but what if those statements were untrue and even just the opposite?
What if the things that are occurring in your life such as a health challenge or even an economic challenge, are actually designed as a feedback mechanism to have you think deeply about your life and the direction that you are going and the decisions that you are making?
I invite you to consider for a moment that this may be true. Consider for a moment that everything that happens to you is happening for you and not to you. Wow, wouldn´t that change the way you see the events, persons, and the situations?
The late Dr Wayne Dyer, author of the best seller (“Your Erroneous Zones”), was quoted as saying…“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
Just a shift in the perception of the events in your life would immediately eliminate the idea of “Bad luck” or “Karma.” Your health challenges would now be seen as powerful messages to help you grow as a person. Your “lesions” would now be seen as your “lessons.” I invite you to consider the following examples of how a few health challenges are perfectly designed to assist you in your physical, emotional and spiritual growth.
Diabetes: Literally this very common medical condition could be summarized as the “inability to control the sugar in the blood”. Your family members (brother, sister, mother, father) are often referred to as “your blood”. When an emotional event such as a death in the family, or infidelity, or even a betrayal of trust among siblings, there is often a loss of “The Sweetness of life”.
Sciatica: Literally, this is described as an unbearable burning pain, or numbness and tingling in the back of the leg even down to the foot. Your legs represent your “Vehicles to move you forward in your life along your path”. When a person or an event in your past continues to haunt you with resentment, anger, or other emotional reactions that really “Burn you up,” sciatica will rear its ugly, painful head.
Heart challenges: Arrythmias, heart attacks and others, could be summarized as “abnormal, chaotic cardiac functions. Whenever there is “Chaos” in your life and your emotions that relate to love, relationships, etc., the feedback of heart pathologies will bring you to an awareness of what is in important.
Herniated discs: The discs between the vertebrae in your spine, particularly the lower lumbar area, are unable to adequately support the spine which is your “structure.” Whenever you feel like you are not receiving “support” emotionally, from your life's structure (family or business), the discs can degenerate, or even herniate.
There are many health challenges that can be directly related to various emotional perceptions. These are can be called “The Powerful messages of the Body.”
You may choose to ignore them and write your health challenge off as old age, accidents, genetic anomalies and more. To ignore these signs could be seen as ignorance. Even your doctor may ignore these connections as unscientific, new age garbage.
After more than 40 years as a doctor, I cannot deny the connection. I am certain that there is a reason that everything happens. I see it as part of the “Divine Design”.
There is a Perfect Order and organization of everything in this world. There are no mistakes. “If you change the way you look at the things in your life, the things you look at change.” Honor this Perfect Order. Look with humility and gratitude to find some of the answers to your health challenge beyond the strict medical protocol, but never deny the wisdom of allopathic medicine either.
When you can honor the fact that you are “more than just the skin you are in”, you can look into the “why” of things that have occurred, be grateful for the lessons, and know with certainty that you are continually growing and healing in your Body, Mind, and Spirit.
