By Alzenira Quezada

Creative Camp is a collaborative, bilingual, two-week intensive program for young creatives, August 19 – 30th, whose goal is to honor the intellect, talent, imagination, and curiosity of the finest talent that can be find in their city-wide search.

The focus will be on creating a character through Music, Movement and Emotion, while learning Mexican Myth, incorporating Modern, Spanish, Mexican, and Indigenous dance, as students bring to life the story of Tenochtitlan, the ancient capital city of the Aztecs.

They will build an original score in collaboration with daily instruction in preparation for a class recital on, Friday, August 30th, which will be open to the public. Previous experience and interest in performing arts is an advantage but is not a prerequisite to apply for the program.

They will only select 12 students, with a scholarship available for those who would like to apply. It is highly competitive to work with these three instructors, Lady Zen and Jaime Coronado who will teach dance and physical movement supported by the music of composer and producer El Negro Wadpro.
