Patricia Schneider Plans: A Curated Experience For Discerning Travelers

Actualizado: hace 2 días

By Patricia Schneider

It begins, as many good things do, in México City — a metropolis that breathes with both ancient gods and modern ambition. After 3 days spent navigating its museums, cathedrals, and quiet courtyards, we crave something different: not more noise, but silence. Not more art, but something primal — carved by time rather than hands. We slip south through the lush highlands of Morelos, pausing in Cuernavaca, the “City of Eternal Spring,” where bougainvillea spills over old stone walls and jacarandas shade forgotten fountains. We lunch at La India Bonita, nestled inside a colonial estate with a subtle air of legend — here, in 1928, Anne Morrow met Charles Lindbergh, a love story that began under this very sun-dappled roof.

We then follow a lesser-known path to Xochicalco, where astronomers once aligned temples to the stars. Perched on a high plateau, this pre-Hispanic site is all geometry and golden light — a place of sky-gazing and ceremony. But the most surprising part of the journey lay below.

A short drive into the hills of Guerrero leads us to the Grutas de Cacahuamilpa, one of the largest cave systems on Earth. The air shifts as you descend — cool, damp, like a breath from another world. Expansive chambers open like hidden palaces, their grandeur rivaling that of ancient cathedrals. Stalactites drip like frozen music. Stalagmites rise like forgotten altars. Here, light is sacred. You emerge different, as if touched by something ancient.

That evening, we sleep at Hacienda San Gabriel de las Palmas, a 16th-century sanctuary of carved stone and blooming gardens. A final morning in the silver city of Taxco — white façades, tangled streets, a feeling of floating above time — brings us gently back. Sometimes, the richest journeys are not rushed. They unfold slowly, with presence, depth, and meaning. More than a trip: a passage into stillness, beauty, and soul. Crafted for those who travel with intention — and return transformed.

This exclusive journey is brought to you by Slow Living Manifesto, created by Patricia Schneider — a Paris-born art and culture expert, passionate about curating immersive experiences that connect people to the heart of Mexico. Patricia's team offers more than travel — it creates  transformative experiences that nurture the soul.
