Around Town: They are right out of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ (1982 play by Tim Rice) - flitting about San Miguel de Allende, Beth & Richard Templeton, the happiest and the most colorful couple in town. Speaking of lovebirds, Flick and James Davies celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary and are close to moving into their new casa in a few months. Winemakers Diane and her husband Higinio are back from the International Tokyo Raw Wine Fair in Japan and flew back with countless accolades from thousands of people around the world who tasted their wines. They put Mexico’s wines on the world stage again. “Arguably one of Mexico’s finest Wineries”- Robert Vernick, Wine Terrier. If you haven’t been to Dos Búhos Winery for lunch, it's a definite must! (Open 11:00a.m. - 6:00p.m., closed Monday & Tuesday). Available for weddings and other Special occasions.
Claudia & Mitchell Wert were seen wining & dining at some of their favorite restaurants with their daughter, Alexis, who was visiting from L.A. For those of us who miss the need for a Hawaiian connection and a missed feeling of Aloha, Rondi Jones is our Ohana here in San Miguel de Allende. Jocelyn Law-Yone, San Miguel’s sweetest, one and only Burmese chef, formerly of the award-winning Thamee Restaurant in Washington, DC - was voted one of the Top 10 restaurants in America. Also, as seen on Guy's Grocery Games and Beat Bobby Flay, she hosted one of her highly sought-after pop-ups at NUDOL last month. It was delicious, delectable, and standing-room only.

A plant-based group to support your whole-food, plant-based way of eating, regardless of where you are in your journey. Mata de Monte is proud to announce a new ‘Brand Ambassador’ to their team, Frankie Cruz-Aedo. The incomparable wedding planner, Víctor Hugo celebrated his 56th birthday at the No Bad Coffee Club.
Restaurants: The new ‘hot spot’ news story broken by foodies Kathleen Jones and Kat Sparks for custom burgers is La Marthina Bistró opposite Mosho’s Cafe on Stirling Dickinson. (Open 12:30a.m.-9:00p.m, closed Mondays) Owned by Esaú Chavez & Chef Itzel Barrientos. You are starting to see the summer ‘take some time off’ places, re-open... like Erik’s Pork Belly, Casa Giovanni & Marina. The Woolletts and Cookseys were seen at Da Carmela on Salida a Celaya enjoying this charming little dinner spot for something Italiano by chefs Carmela and Stephen. Food & Beverage Director/Executive Chef, Eduardo Osuna, at the new CLEVIA Marriott-Bonvoy hosted a ‘soft’ opening at Ayoli last month and is now offering 10% discounts during July. Chief Concierge and Hotel Director, Deborah Castañeda of Piedra Negras and restaurant Martez want you to know guest chefs are present every Taco Tuesday evening, and ‘Special Hotel Rates’ apply for July & August.
